American Express takes travel rewards to new heights
American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Cardmembers have access to two new travel perks MARKHAM, ON, July 22 /CNW/ - American Express is pleased to announce that it is broadening its travel rewards for AeroplanPlus Platinum Cardmembers with the launch of two new travel perks, Pearson Priority Lane and Partner Ticket. The American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Card is the ultimate Card for frequent travellers, and now American Express is expanding the value proposition for Cardmembers to save them both time and money when travelling. American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Card members now have access to the new Pearson Priority Lane, designed to give them expedited access to the security screening point. The lanes are located at the departure level of Toronto Pearson International Airport and are open during peak airport operating hours. Cardmembers and their travel companions can enjoy the privilege and premium value of this service simply by showing their Card at the designated Pearson Priority Lane. This benefit is also available to Platinum Card members. AeroplanPlus Platinum Cardmembers can now also enjoy Partner Ticket, a 2-for-1 travel benefit available for redemption once per year of Card membership. When Cardmembers redeem Aeroplan Miles for a ClassicFlight short-haul reward ticket in economy class, they receive a complimentary second ticket for the same itinerary. This complimentary ticket has a value of 15,000 Aeroplan Miles, which is the equivalent of travel between Toronto and New York, Montreal and Boston, or Vancouver and Calgary. "We are always looking for ways to enhance our Cardmembers' travel experience and the launch of Partner Ticket and the Pearson Priority Lane will make travel that much easier for our Cardmembers," says Barclay Hancock, Director, Charge Portfolios, American Express Canada. "These benefits build on our already robust AeroplanPlus reward offering and reaffirms Amex's position as the premium Card provider." These new benefits are in addition to the already valued Maple Leaf Lounge & superior Aeroplan Mile Earn Rate benefits on the Card, and are part of a push by American Express to enhance its existing premium Card portfolio and deliver the most comprehensive loyalty benefits to Cardmembers.
