American Express Business Travel launches Pre-Trip Auditor in Canada
- Tool gives companies more control over their travel policy and
expenses -MARKHAM, ON, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - American Express today launched Pre-Trip
Auditor, a new automation process that can provide improved control of travel
policies and expenses by allowing companies to review business travel prior to
ticketing.
"In this economic climate, our clients are increasingly focused on
preventing costs at the point of sale. They are looking for end-to-end
solutions that will help give them control over their travel and drive cost
savings," said Lyell Farquharson, Vice President and General Manager, Business
Travel Canada, American Express. "Pre-Trip Auditor is a superior tool in the
Canadian market that automates the approval process and can reduce risk while
also making the travel booking experience more efficient and cost effective.
This is a win for the traveller and for corporate travel managers."
Pre-Trip Auditor is one part of a total compliance solution designed to
assist companies to gain control over expenses by requiring employees to book
travel within the guidelines of the corporate travel policy. The tool enables
authorized employees to easily review and approve or decline trips.

and security risk. This American Express tool allows customers to choose a

reviewer, or a stronger approach that requires travel be approved before
ticketing.

the benefits of replacing cumbersome, manual processes with automation, and
enforcing corporate travel policies.
The key corporate benefits of Pre-Trip Auditor include:- audits of all online and offline bookings for policy compliance
    - identification of out-of-policy bookings, which can increase
preferred supplier usage and drive cost savings
    - reduction in errors, delays, and potential fraud
    - support of traveller security initiatives
    - automation of manual travel authorization processes
