American Express and the Calgary International Film Festival launch new program for 2009
CALGARY, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - American Express (Amex) and the Calgary
International Film Festival (CIFF) will celebrate the launch of their
ground-breaking Movie Mavericks program during an exclusive event at the Art
Gallery of Calgary on Friday, September 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Award-winning Canadian filmmakers Deepa Mehta and Michael McGowan will be
in attendance to share personal reflections of what it means to be a "Movie
Maverick". As well, Jacqueline Dupuis, Executive Director of CIFF, will be
present to unveil details on this exciting new program.
Special guests will be arriving on the red carpet at 7:15 p.m. and will
be available at this time for photos and brief questions. Presentations are
scheduled to commence at 7:30 p.m. and will conclude at 8:30 p.m. There will
be a limited number of interview slots available following the presentation.
