MARKHAM, ON, April 1, 2013 /CNW/ - On April 2, 2013, American Express Canada will launch Shop Small, a program designed to support small businesses. Starting in Toronto, Shop Small will bring consumers and small businesses together throughout the month of April. The goal of the program is to celebrate the role small businesses play in driving the economy. Since November 2012, a widespread campaign to rally Toronto's small businesses behind the program has been underway and to date more than 4,000 merchants have joined the Small Business Network.
On Tuesday, April 2, you are invited to join Jennifer Hawkins, Vice President and General Manager, Merchant Services, American Express Canada, MP John Carmichael and City Councillor Jaye Robinson onsite at a participating Shop Small business, Butter Avenue, to officially launch the Shop Small program.
