Three jetsetting influencers partner with American Express Canada to share their favourite #TravelHacks
TORONTO, Aug. 30, 2016 /CNW/ - American Express Canada, with more than 100 years of experience in the travel industry, has launched a three video series featuring travel tips from well-known influencers, including baseball star Kevin Pillar. In addition to Kevin Pillar, two other jetsetters appear in the videos – TSN's Cabbie Richards and lifestyle guru Monika Hibbs. American Express' campaign ties prominent Canadians who travel to the brand and drives an association between American Express and travel. In each video, the influencers share their personal tips and tricks for making travel easier such as how to make a hotel feel like home, rolling ties to reduce wrinkles and how to find the hottest spot to get your latest haircut.
"By teaming up with influencers who travel frequently for work and pleasure, we are able to connect with Canadians and provide them with helpful travel tips in an engaging way," said Lauren Dineen-Duarte, Director Public Affairs & Communications, American Express Canada. "Through ongoing development of captivating social media content, like the travel hack series, we're showing new and existing Cardmembers that Amex is a trusted travel partner."
Kevin Pillar and Cabbie Richards' videos kicked off the series highlighting tips for frequent travellers, followed by Monika Hibbs' video showcasing tips of a seasoned mom who travels with her family. The videos live on the American Express Facebook and Twitter channels and are boosted through paid amplification, targeting frequent travellers who are invited to click through to americanexpress.ca/travel.
"As I'm always on the road, teaming up with American Express to share my travel hacks was a natural fit," said Kevin Pillar. "I know how important it is to be prepared and thinking ahead always helps to make the trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible."
