American Express wins top spot in three of six categories in Reward Canada's Top Travel Rewards Credit Cards rankings
TORONTO, Jan. 24, 2018 /CNW/ - American Express Canada is excited to announce that it has come out on top in three of six categories in Reward Canada's tenth annual ranking of the Top Travel Rewards Credit Cards in Canada. Most notably, the new American Express Cobalt Card has been ranked the Top Overall Card for its strong earn rate, sign up bonus, and well-rounded insurance benefits. Additionally, several other American Express Cards received recognitions in different categories.

Launched in September 2017, Cobalt was designed with the social lifestyle of millennials in mind - a generation whose spending habits reveal a passion for food, travel and entertainment. The Card offers 5x points on eligible eats and drinks, including everything from coffee shops, grocery stores, fast food chains, take-out, bars, restaurants and more. It also offers 2x points on eligible travel and transit including a subway or cab ride, staying at a hotel, and booking a flight or an all-inclusive vacation. Plus, with the recent launch of Cobalt Perks, an offers and experiences program, Cobalt Cardmembers can receive special perks such as bonus reward offers and access to exciting events.
The American Express Cobalt Card also gives Cardmembers flexibility when it comes to redeeming their points through the Membership Rewards program. Whether it's using their points to book travel and flights to anywhere in the world with no blackout dates or seat restrictions, or using points to pay for purchases they've already made on their Card, Cardmembers have plenty of options when it comes to point redemption. With a monthly fee of just $10 ($120 per year of Cardmembership) new Cardmembers can earn up to 30,000 bonus points in their first year of Cardmembership.1
